2019 Alabama State Society Awards:
Four chapters were recognized for 100% member subscriptions to the Colonial Courier. They were Edward Waters, Horseshoe Bend, Nicholas Meriwether, and Robert Dowling.
Technology Chairman Leslie Kirk received the Outstanding Website Award for the Alabama Society.
Janell Kozak received two awards for Veteran Services Chairman. Brenda Winter for Volunteering Time and Services to our veterans.
The Colonel George Reade Chapter was awarded First Place for the Highest Donation by a chapter to NSDAC Historic Landmarks.
The Edward Waters Chapter and the Nicholas Meriwether Chapter tied for Sixth Place for the Highest Donation by a chapter to Preservation of NSDAC Historic Landmarks.
Janet Langley received two awards for Alabama Historic Landmarks Chairman Carroll Strickland for the Highest Donation by a State Society to NSDAC Historic Landmarks.

On September 25, 2016, the Captain Thomas Carter, Sr. Chapter celebrated the 100th birthday of member
Sarah Carter Jones. A reception was held to honor Mrs. Jones. Following the reception, the chapter met
for a scheduled meeting.
